CHRISTMAS PROGRAM: It’s crunch time now for the Christmas Program. Our program, “An All American Christmas” will be on Tuesday, December 20th, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the school gym. Watch for information in the Wednesday Parent Letter. I will also be sending information home with each class. Dress code includes nice clothing and for the most part no jeans or sweats. There are classes that will be wearing clothing appropriate for the songs they sing.
KINDERGARTEN: Kindergarteners are making snowman sweatshirts and will be allowed to wear those with jeans to the program.
FIRST GRADE: Students will be doing a country type song, so they are allowed to wear jeans, jean skirts, cowboy boots, anything that is appropriate for “country”.
SECOND GRADE: Second graders may wear Santa hats, but they will not be wearing jeans.
THIRD GRADE: Third graders will be doing a Hawaiian song so they are allowed to wear shorts, flip flops, bright colored shirts. Remember for the girls, still not spaghetti straps or tank tops.
FOURTH GRADE: Students may wear Santa hats, but like the second grade, no jeans or sweats.
FIFTH GRADE: Fifth graders will be doing a military tribute, but, again, nice clothing. This is where I am in desperate need still of military photos. Please send to my email at school or at HardenHall@gmail.com.
SIXTH GRADE: Sixth graders may also wear Santa hats, but other than that, nice clothing please.
SEVENTH GRADE: Seventh grade will be doing a “rocker” song. They will be allowed to wear jeans.
EIGHTH GRADE: Eighth grade will be “rapping” so they are allowed to dress as “school appropriate” rappers. The costumes for the final song will be provided for them. Mary will need to wear a white dress or pants under her costume.
I think that covers the clothing options for this year’s program. We look forward to sharing our Christmas Spirit with you.
SOUNDS OF PEACE CHOIR: The choir will be singing a modified program for Community 55 on Wednesday, December 14th. The time should be around 12:30 or 1:00, but I will get that information to you as soon as possible. The choir will also lead the 4:30 pm Christmas Eve Mass. Parents, permission slips will be passed out on Monday, December 5th. Please return as soon as you can so I know how to plan the Mass. Thanks! As always, if you have any questions, feel free to call me at school, home (377-0232) or cell (973-8114). You can reach me by email at school, or at HardenHall@gmail.com.
